I am a British author, filmmaker, artist, photographer, composer and
producer of electronic music. I was born in the Republic
of Trinidad and Tobago, but I have
lived in England
since 1984. I met my wife a year later and we have two amazing boys. We love
travelling, and we have all studied martial arts. My wife and I produced Britain’s first
martial arts movie. I also directed and co-produced a training DVD, which
tackles the cause of anxiety and panic attacks.

of the Psychic Wars’ in 30 words or
journeys to another galaxy, and joins the Second Psychic War: an interstellar
battle between the forces of his father, the Emperor, and those of his uncle,
What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Research. I am not
a scientist, and even though this is science fiction, I wanted the fantastic
science in the book to be based on sound scientific principles. During the
years I spent writing the book, people would ask, “Why are you studying royal
family protocol and World War II battle strategies, when the characters are

and historical references in the book. I consider these things to be very
What books have had the greatest influence on you?
J. R. R. Tolkien’s
Lord of the Rings and Frank Herbert’s Dune – both are meticulously detailed,
thoroughly researched epics.
Briefly share with us what you do to market your
interviews, social networking, Google and Facebook ads, press releases and I
recently produced a dramatic book trailer, riddled with beautiful people and
the type of imagery you would find in Star Trek, Star Wars and Battlestar
How do you spend your time when you are not
I have family commitments and marketing takes up a lot of my time. I am
a musician, photographer, and filmmaker (among other things), with related
products that also have to be marketed. Any other time is spent creating,
researching, reading, watching documentaries, taking photographs and listening
What are you working on next?
My second novel,
which is book one of another speculative fiction series related to The Psychic
Wars. This series has a fourteen-year-old Trinidadian boy as the protagonist
and much of the dialogue is in Trinidadian patois. The plot and themes are top
secret, for the moment.
