Children’s author Edie Conrad was born and raised in Southwest Iowa.  She now lives in the St. Louis, Missouri area with her husband.  She has two children and three grandchildren who have listened to her tales of childhood adventures for many years.  Dr. Bennington, their golden lab, is a recent addition to her audience and the source of at least one tall tail.
     She is best known amongst children for her  Prudy stories, involving Prudy, her dog Pickles and her brother Bubba (known less affectionately as Aaaaanthony). 
     Her book of children's poetry, Lola, Rae and Bug, will be released June of 2010.  She is working with an illustrator to publish her first Prudy story, due in July.
