As a former pre-school teacher, Susan remains in the lives of children through her many school and library visits, bookstore signings, and fund raising events.  Her interactive readings encourage children to be part of her picture book stories and everyone has fun as they learn about rhyming words. Susan and her husband Bruce, a retired high school math teacher, curriculum writer, baseball coach/ manager, have co-authored their first mid-grade novel and together they do an author process workshop that teaches children the steps to becoming published.  Their message to children about persevering and determination are always a vital part of their discussion, as is the importance of respecting oneself and others.  For the couple, the best part about being authors is their interaction with children.
