After early training in aeronautical engineering at Farnborough in England and a stint in the Royal Artillery in a guided missile regiment, I went to work in Libya in 1963 for an American seismic exploration company operating under contract to Oasis Oil Company of Libya. I spent four and a half years in Libya and then moved to Western Canada where over the next 30 years I worked for a number of other exploration companies as well as operated my own contract survey company.
Before retiring in 2003 I resumed writing fiction with the intention of making it a new career. My first published novel was released in July 2007 by Double Dragon Publishing Inc of Markham, Ontario. As of October this year DDP has released three novels in my Iskander series – Deadly Enterprise, The Wildcat’s Victory, and Arrival. The series has a modern young woman protagonist in an alternate world scenario that features a small group of modern scientists and engineers in a 17th century analog of Earth. I also contributed a short story to the award winning anthology Twisted Tales II put out by the DDP authors and have another short story in the current anthology, Twisted Tales III, Pure Fear. I am working on two other speculative-fiction novels with modern settings as well as the fourth of the Iskander series.
