Tysha was raised on the gritty streets of Youngstown, Ohio.  Her love of reading began in the fourth grade when her first poem was published in The Vindicator, Youngstown’s hometown newspaper.

Tysha picked up a pen and notebook and began writing her first novel titled Poetic Life Lessons – A Novel(unpublished)in 2002.

Through a series of introductions and chance meetings, Tysha was able to find a place for herself in the literary world.  Tysha landed a two-book deal with Urban Books, an imprint of Kensington Publishing.

Her first published work, “BOSSY” is a short story featured in the anthology; Nikki Turner presents Street Chronicles - Girls In Da Game (Random House, June 2007).  Her debut novel, The Boss. . .the story of a female hustler (Urban Books, February 2008).  A second short story titled, “Keepin’ It In The Family” is featured in the Around The Way Girls 5 anthology from Urban Books (June 2008).

 Tysha’s first Christian Fiction short story, Ghetto Luv, penned under the name TyshaMichelle, featured in the anthology “Even Sinners Have Souls 2, (End of the Rainbow Projects, May 2009). 

Tysha resides in Columbus, OH and has been busy working on multiple book projects, including her next two novels.
