I'm a native of Arkansas and have been writing for 25 years. I'm working on my 11th and 12th books, both of which will be published in 2010. I write fiction and nonfiction. My latest book, Fly With the Mourning Dove, was a finalist in the 2008 WILLA Literary awards for creative nonfiction. I also speak at conferences and give workshops. My next workshop on writing is Sept. 26 at Ozark Folkways on the Boston Mountain.
