Sydney Tremayne is expert at explaining investment strategies in a straightforward, easy-to-understand and entertaining manner. He developed an interest in investing at an early age, describing himself as "stubborn enough to learn something about it." He became a successful stockbroker and, eventually, president and CEO of an investment firm. His investment writing includes a previous bestseller: Take the Guessing out of Investing, 1987 (Prentice-Hall, Canada). Tremayne is critical of most investment books for the "dull as dishwater way in which they attempt to teach the basics." When he is not speaking somewhere in North America, he spends his time between homes in Panama and Canada.
