13 Women Who have Won the Nobel Prize in Literature

Since it was International Women’s Day just a couple days ago, we figured it would be most appropriate to appreciate the women of Literature. What we found was that only 13 women have won the Nobel Prize for Literature until date.
The Nobel Prize in Literature is an award given annually by the Swedish Academy to an author (from any country) who has produced “in the field of literature the most outstanding work in an ideal direction”.
