The idea for Three Weeks Last Spring came to me while on a visit to Washington State. I was staying in Bremerton and most days caught the ferry to Seattle. It occured to me as I watched the tankers, ferries and cruise ships crossing Puget of Puget Sound that it wouldn't take much to upset the delicate eco-system of the area. Rather than use an oil spill as the basis of my plot, I decided that I would have some deliberately poison the water as an act of revenge.
