SEAMS16:A New Home was written primarily in waiting rooms and patient rooms. My Dad was battling cancer at the time and as the designated driver, I accompanied him to all of his doctor's appointments, chemo treatments, and hospital visits, as well as visiting and staying with him daily in a recovery center when necessary. I used my writing to escape the despair of the events of those times, so none of this became any part of the story. Sadly, we lost my Dad before the novel was finished and he never got to see the results, but I think he would have been proud.
