In my novels, I love to set up a secondary couple and run their storyline parallell to the main story. Then they become the predominant characters in the next novel and so on. It was this way for Charlie Cooper and Angeline in Hoodoo Money. But members of my writing group became so upset when I killed off Angeline that I needed to find a way to resurect her. Thus Mangroves and Monsters . . .
