The topic of salt was requested as a subject for an episode of my food podcast. I decided to dive right in and do some research about salt and its many uses. I was very surprised by some of the information that I discovered! During the broadcast, I discussed a brief history of salt, health risks regarding salt sensitivity and hypertension, a few different types of gourmet salt available on the market for the home cook, and some common household uses of salt.
