Mac Harris had too much on his mind to worry about how tired he felt. The business he built from scratch was in financial trouble. The last thing he needed was a visit from the past. As death robs him of life the last images he sees are the pictures of the two women who defined his life: Anne Harris and Maggie Cosby.
Anne Harris could not find any tears to shed as they laid her father, Mac, to rest. The only emotion she felt was resentment toward him and his business. Soon it would be hers to sell. She had enough problems brewing at her farm, The Stallion Station, and the sooner she could rid herself of Mac’s Flying Service the better.
Maggie Cosby was tired of flying a desk for the FAA as an Aviation Safety Inspector. She yearned for the carefree days of flight instructing and being with Mac. He opened more than the world of aviation to her - he shared the experience of falling in love. As news of his death reached Maggie the need to return to Athens-Georgia, Mac, and the World War II hangar beckon her to come home.
Anne and Maggie come face to face as both are surprised at Mac’s decision to leave Mac’s Flying Service to Maggie. Feeling betrayed by those called family, Anne vows to fight her late father’s decision, determined to destroy his beloved business. For Maggie, the wounds of being pushed away from the man she loved and the place she didn’t want to leave are reopened.
As Anne and Maggie start at opposite ends on the future of Mac’s Flying Service, each will have to face secrets and ghosts from the past. As truths are revealed a bond is forged to fight for the success of Mac’s Flying Service. One will learn the true meaning of love and trust. The other will have to make the decision to let go of memories of bygone days and accept the love of the present.
