I love this story so far. I read several pages and found myself quite into it. Currantly I am a fan of Nicholas Sparks, a romance writer himself, and this remined me of something he would write. Loved it. Great read! Laura
Sunshine at Ghostwiter reviews:
Erika and her sister Joni are the perfect representation of the opposite of night and day. Joni wants to be able to have her cake and eat it too, meaning she wants a marriage with some fun and excitement on the side when she gets bored. Erika, on the other hand, is just grateful to have the cake, after Daniel Thompson, her husband of 22 years and the father of her college aged daughter, decides he's not in love with her anymore, but with a girl who is young enough to be his daughter.
Devastated by this, she moves away from him and the memories they've made. At her new house, she meets Kevin Richards, the attractive man who takes care of the neighborhood's lawn care needs. She would like for something to develop between them, but she doesn't want to rush into it, lest she scare him away. After several misfires, one mess caused by her sister, she's starting to think she's got no more luck left...
I thought this story is a good example of how things can suddenly go wrong and how just as suddenly, life works itself out without too much meddling on our own parts. Sometimes, there really is nothing you can do except to just let things play out. I also thought it was a hopeful story for any woman going through any kind of break up.
