I have struggled for awhile with the question of whether to write this book as “my story” or just a story about all fictional characters. But, I came to the conclusion, that my story is so unusual and unique that it would be best to write it with my own words and from my point of view. I also felt that to know that this story – that all of these stories – are actually “true stories,” will make the impact of these words have more significance and meaning for the reader. This is a story of hope and love, and the people who inspired this story show us that there is love and hope in the midst of even the greatest tragedy. They will show you that there is no greater force than love and it transcends and truly conquers everything including death. More importantly, my story is also the story of so many others who have touched my life profoundly, and I believe to give their stories the tribute that they deserve, I must tell them as they are – as true stories. So to tell you my story, I must also tell you their stories, because without theirs, mine would not be much of a story.

I must ask you to understand as you read this book, that all of the stories you are about to read, including my own are true. Please also understand that in an effort to respect these families, people and spirits who have inspired this story, all of the names, events and details of events have been changed. Many characters and stories may actually be the culmination of several stories and I have taken “Creative License” in writing these stories to protect the privacy, confidentiality and the sensitivity of the families and stories involved. In doing so, I have done my very best to present their loved ones’ messages and legacies as accurately and truthfully as possible. It is my hope that as the people who inspired this story read my words from this side and the other, they will know I have compassionately and respectfully captured the essence of the life and legacy they left behind.

I have not written this story alone and have had the help of the many

spirits who have inspired it. They asked me to pass along this message:

“That it is true, that the only thing you have to fear in this life and

the afterlife is fear itself and that once you have conquered that you

are truly free.” They also say: “That it is not important how much

time we have here, whether our lives are short or long, but what is

important, is what we did with the time we had.”

I hope that their stories touch your heart as much as they have mine and

that through this work, you may understand just a little more of what your own story is really all about.

The lives of our members have been so enriched and nurtured

as a result of Denise’s readings. They have discovered very

essential information that was lacking since the death of their

loved one. So much peace, closure and resolve have been

given to so many of our clients. Some messages deal with

future events for people to grow into and yet a number of

times Spirit will bring through situations and information

which has taken place, well after the time of their death.
