Review Chapter 1
When I saw your thread about the publisher in the Forum, I thought I’d take a look.
This is written in a memoir format, describing events that lead to the addiction. Sometimes life is full of problems and when unfortunate events happen, they tend to attract new ones, because of the state we are in, the victim situation that sends rays of pain and denial to the universe. It’s called the law of attraction and misery attracts misery while joy attracts joy. Whatever we feel comes back to haunt us more and more, unless we consciously deal with our problem and face the facts.
Nothing changes until we change and you have done that, that’s something to celebrate.
Misery attracts escapism and yours was the drugs. The drugs that gave you comfort became a self-destructive addiction that was difficult to give up. Your problems beginning with the economical situation escalated as your addiction also became serious. “Why me?” we ask, there is a reason; there must be a reason, either in this life or in a past life that becomes the purpose of our existence and a lesson to learn from it. Most of the time is acceptance of the things we cannot change, gratitude for all we have, and the wisdom to discern.
The poetry at the end of the chapter shows your feelings during the series of events that happened in your life. You are feeling soul that gets hurt through events that lead to seeking for substitutes to deal with the pain. What actually happened at the end is that the pain required higher and higher doses that needed to be cured. You have achieved that and you want to share your experience with others to tell them they are not alone and it can be done.
So, Kudos to you for that and I hope you’ll find a decent publisher to share your story on a greater platform.
Best wishes and Good Luck with this,
The Child of Heaven
