Description

Post Trauma follows the first two years of a woman who has unknowingly become addicted to prescription pain pills through years of prescriptions. When she reveals this to her family and begins the process of getting clean, her family endures several tragic deaths. Suffering through physical and mental withdrawals, Renata was unable to be supportive and had to rely on her family when they needed her most. Renata Kell reveals the heart-wrenching experiences of her struggle and her family's grief and anger as they step up and inspire her to stay sober. After a period of journaling, Renata's mind began to get clear only for her to have a total mental breakdown. She sought professional help. Upon discovering her PTSD, Renata went against counselors' advice and wrote down flashbacks of severe physical and sexual childhood abuse. Post Trauma portrays the wounds that led Renata down this dangerous path and the secrets for which, now revealed, she is finally finding healing. This tremendous story of faith reminds of the need to lean on one another and accept the changes in our lives. What could have turned out to be a tragic scenario has become an inspiring tale of a family full of love and determination to save each other.

This took alot of strength to write and to complete. I'm very proud to say, Renata, you did a fine job, especially for the first book. Keep up the good work. I had tears at times falling down my cheeks, I want to give you a big hug. I would recommend this book to anyone of an adult age, religious, group therapy, and institutions. I could go on and on but I will stop for now. Love to you Renata Kell, you did good.

What a powerful story of faith and love. I recomend this book to anyone who has delt with addiction, abuse, or mental issues. Man or woman you will  have your heart strings tugged at.

I don't have a lot to say by one thing I can is: Therefore, he who the Son sets free is free indeed. I wish you God speed and all the love that the Father has for you. I can relate to what you talk about and it brings back memories. I was set free myself.
I will not give you stars, nor backing, nor tell you if your writing is good, but this I will tell you - your heart is good. There are many people in this world who never discover what you and I have found.
Keep on believing.

It's a hard road you've been down, it's obvious to see, however you have made, by God's help, the best out of the bad. It's good to see what God can do with us. We're all just broken people put together by His love. The only mistake I saw was one where you mistakenly typed the word were as where. It was somewhere around where you were talking about your daughters birthday party.

Post Trauma by Renata Kell
A very honest heart rendering account of people past and present and all the trauma's to deal with along the way.
Your faith shines through and the poems are lovely. No wondered you suffered from PTSD.
Your cover is good and title apt.
The format needs adjusting for the site although I managed to read it all as it was.

I will pop it on my watchlist and high stars. You'll get more help on here than with those rogue publishers.

Review Chapter 1

Hi Renata,

When I saw your thread about the publisher in the Forum, I thought I’d take a look.

This is written in a memoir format, describing events that lead to the addiction. Sometimes life is full of problems and when unfortunate events happen, they tend to attract new ones, because of the state we are in, the victim situation that sends rays of pain and denial to the universe. It’s called the law of attraction and misery attracts misery while joy attracts joy. Whatever we feel comes back to haunt us more and more, unless we consciously deal with our problem and face the facts.

Nothing changes until we change and you have done that, that’s something to celebrate.

Misery attracts escapism and yours was the drugs. The drugs that gave you comfort became a self-destructive addiction that was difficult to give up. Your problems beginning with the economical situation escalated as your addiction also became serious. “Why me?” we ask, there is a reason; there must be a reason, either in this life or in a past life that becomes the purpose of our existence and a lesson to learn from it. Most of the time is acceptance of the things we cannot change, gratitude for all we have, and the wisdom to discern.

The poetry at the end of the chapter shows your feelings during the series of events that happened in your life. You are feeling soul that gets hurt through events that lead to seeking for substitutes to deal with the pain. What actually happened at the end is that the pain required higher and higher doses that needed to be cured. You have achieved that and you want to share your experience with others to tell them they are not alone and it can be done.

So, Kudos to you for that and I hope you’ll find a decent publisher to share your story on a greater platform.

Best wishes and Good Luck with this,

Sebnem
