Description
:

It was 1709 in the German Palatine during the coldest winter in 500 years. Anna despaired as farm animals died, winter wheat froze in the ground and neighbors weakened from starvation. But then, England's Queen Anne called on Anna's countrymen to abandon their homeland, make their way to London and set sail for her American colonies. There she promised them free land and a new life. In eight short months, 13,000 desperate people answered her call. Anna, with her small band of family and friends, joined them and set out to do the impossible - survive the journey.

Praise and Reviews

I've just completed "Winters' Wrath"! The characters are so well-drawn...and while I know this is a historical novel and that there has obviously been endless hours of research on the incredible minute facts of this era & the horrific times these forebears fought against, the 'fictitious' characters are SO 'real', I, for one, will keep them in MY memory as people that lived through the experiences of the story. I simply cannot WAIT for Volume 2 of the Palatine Journey!! Kay Redcoff, Sarasota, FL
