He sits here, night after night Listening to the stillness in his mind Swallowing on thoughts, choaking on visions Drowning in his silence; the house is cold without her warmth
It's raining agian, thunder clapping with sparks of lightning Sending energy to places unknown and walking in circles Another glass of wine, a romatic tale in his hand He reads a passage aloud, he hears no response
and yet... The edge of silence burns as nothing is given and nothing is taken But as for his beliefs, that gap is always growing, as he sees from afar The distant horizon of a nightmare yet to come His mind stays cluttered and betrayed, yet naked and pure He's fond of the nights, the nights of solace The only thing he hears is his breath escaping from his chest Moving through his lips and into a shadowy space

5.0 out of 5 stars poetryman...you are brilliant..!, November 15, 2011 This review is from: Drowning Silence Poetry (Paperback) loomed links, knitted stitches and crocheted pearls are the sensual weaves that Michael intimately sensually erotically n ethereally constructs from his deepest providence...his cachet of poems are utterly provocative, unabashedly real and effervesce with a burning longing, yearning, in portuguese the word is 'Saudade'..an indescribable word that speaks of the heart's desires...clearly demonstrated throughout each exceptional piece of prose, written by Michael...his poetry is in the heart of us all, and thru that mirror of self, i can so deeply feel that connective tissue in my core...a beautiful collection, written in lush textures and lyrics... 5.0 out of 5 stars Drowning Silence Poetry, November 14, 2011 This review is from: Drowning Silence Poetry (Paperback) I love this book! Michael Jones knows how to write from the depths of his Soul as he illustrates familiar human experiences, opening the door for others to touch their inner knowings. These poems are very touching and humbling to the mighty ego within us all. I am looking forward to his next book! 5.0 out of 5 stars Drowning Silence Poetry, November 10, 2011 This review is from: Drowning Silence Poetry (Paperback) I have just started reading this AMAZING book..
