Paweł, recently divorced young biologist seems to be obsessed by a phobia of cellar phones. He traces the influence of the phones on humans’ habits, social and family life. He knows it’s a dangerous supernatural power unperceivable overwhelming people’s mind. Step by steps he gets into the madness of combat with unperceivable might. However, it seems that the challenge has been thrown on him by the cruel and vicious enemy that nobody can see except for him. Does what at the beginning of the story seems to be his innocent fixation about cellar phones slowly turns into the madness or is it a real danger that nobody recognizes? The only one who believes Paweł is his eight years old son. Mary O’Railly with her ability to talk with ghosts follows Paweł from the distance through her precognitions and visions. All the things which have been happening in Warsaw, midnight car-rice, an accident which wasn’t an accident but murder attempt, lonely combat with unknown, Mary follows and understands through the memories of her own experiences in the police and family. When Paweł’s battle for his son’s life ensued, only Mary recognizes the danger for father and son which all other people around them ignored. She desperately wants to help.
